This Cancellation & Refund Policy applies to direct bookings made through Legacy Stays, unless otherwise stated during the booking process. For reservations made through third-party booking platforms such as Airbnb, Vrbo, or Booking.com, the cancellation terms of the applicable platform will govern the booking transaction.

Standard Cancellation Policy

For direct bookings made through Legacy Stays, the following cancellation terms apply unless a different policy is clearly stated at the time of booking:

Refund Processing

Approved refunds are typically processed within 3 to 5 business days after cancellation is confirmed. Depending on your bank or card issuer, it may take additional time for the refund to appear in your account. Legacy Stays is not responsible for delays caused by financial institutions or third-party payment processors.

Reservation Changes & Date Modifications

Guests may request a change to their reservation dates before arrival. We will make reasonable efforts to accommodate date changes when possible, but changes are not guaranteed and remain subject to availability.

If a reservation is moved to new dates:

Early Departures

If a guest checks out before the scheduled departure date, unused nights are generally non-refundable.

Exceptions may be considered if:

Personal schedule changes, weather preferences, transportation disruptions, or other circumstances outside the property itself generally do not qualify for a refund after check-in.

No-Shows

If a guest does not arrive for a confirmed reservation and does not cancel before the scheduled check-in date, the reservation will be treated as a no-show. No-shows are generally non-refundable.

If you know you will not be able to arrive, please notify us as soon as possible so we can properly document the cancellation and confirm whether any refund applies under your reservation terms.

Travel Disruptions & Personal Circumstances

Legacy Stays is not responsible for circumstances outside our control that affect travel plans, including:

Property Unavailability / Force Majeure

In rare cases, Legacy Stays may need to cancel a reservation if a property becomes unavailable or unsuitable for occupancy due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to:

Except as required by law, Legacy Stays’ liability in these situations is limited to the amounts paid directly to Legacy Stays for the reservation. We are not responsible for airfare, alternate lodging booked independently, transportation, meals, or other incidental expenses.

Special Circumstances

We understand that extraordinary situations can arise. If you believe special circumstances should be considered, please contact us as soon as possible.

Legacy Stays may review requests for exceptions on a case-by-case basis, but exceptions are not guaranteed. Any exception granted will be at the sole discretion of Legacy Stays and will not create an obligation to grant similar exceptions in future cases.
