Welcome to Legacy Stays. These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of the Legacy Stays website and the process of booking a stay at one of our properties. By accessing our website, making a reservation, or using our services, you agree to these Terms.
These Terms should be read together with:
- The Rental Agreement (which governs your stay)
- The Cancellation & Refund Policy
- The Privacy Policy
If there is any conflict between these Terms and the Rental Agreement, the Rental Agreement controls matters related to your stay and use of the property.
About Legacy Stays
Legacy Stays LLC is a North Carolina limited liability company that manages a curated collection of short-term rental properties in the High Point and Greensboro areas. Legacy Stays acts as the authorized property manager for each property owner and is responsible for booking management, guest communication, and operational oversight of the homes.
Reservations & Payment
Reservations may be made through the Legacy Stays website or through authorized third-party booking platforms. A reservation is confirmed once payment has been successfully processed and any required verification steps have been completed. The primary guest must be at least 25 years of age and may be required to provide valid government-issued identification.
Pricing, fees, taxes, and payment schedules are displayed during the booking process and apply specifically to the confirmed reservation. If a clerical or system pricing error occurs, Legacy Stays reserves the right to correct the error and will provide the option to proceed at the corrected price or cancel the reservation for a full refund.
Legacy Stays may charge the payment method associated with a reservation for damages, excessive cleaning, missing items, or violations of house rules, as described in the Rental Agreement. Guests will be notified prior to such charges whenever reasonably possible.
Cancellation Policy
Cancellation options are presented during the booking process so that guests can select the level of flexibility that best fits their travel plans. Refund eligibility depends on the cancellation policy selected at the time of booking. Complete details are provided in the Cancellation & Refund Policy.
Because travel disruptions can occur due to weather, transportation delays, illness, or other unforeseen circumstances, we recommend purchasing travel insurance. When refunds apply, they are issued to the original payment method.
Arrival & Departure
Unless otherwise stated in your reservation:
Check-in: 3:00 PM
Check-out: 10:00 AM
Early arrival or late departure requests may be accommodated when the schedule allows. Complimentary late checkout until 12:00 PM may be available when the cleaning schedule permits. Later departures may be available for an additional fee when operationally feasible. Detailed departure expectations are provided in the Rental Agreement and property welcome guide.
Respect for the Home & Community
Legacy Stays properties are designed to provide a comfortable and thoughtfully curated guest experience. Guests are expected to treat each property with care and to respect neighbors and community guidelines.
Unauthorized parties, disruptive gatherings, smoking inside the home, exceeding occupancy limits, or other significant violations of house rules may result in additional charges, cancellation of the stay without refund, or removal from the property as outlined in the Rental Agreement.
Maintenance & Property Access
Occasionally, maintenance or repairs may be required during a stay. Legacy Stays will provide advance notice whenever possible and will make reasonable efforts to minimize disruption. Authorized staff or service providers may access the property when reasonably necessary for maintenance, safety concerns, or property protection.
Personal Belongings
Legacy Stays is not responsible for items left behind after checkout. If belongings are found after departure, we will make reasonable efforts to coordinate their return. Shipping and handling costs may apply. Items are typically held for up to 30 days before being donated or discarded.
Property Listings & Amenities
We regularly update and maintain our homes to ensure a high-quality guest experience. Occasionally, furnishings, décor, or minor amenities may vary slightly from listing photos due to upgrades, replacements, or maintenance.
If a significant amenity listed in your reservation becomes unavailable due to unexpected malfunction or repair needs, we will notify you and work with you to provide a reasonable solution.
Pets
Pets are permitted only at properties that are designated as pet-friendly and only with advance approval when required. Applicable pet policies and fees are disclosed in the property listing and booking process. Service animals are welcome in accordance with applicable law.
Security & Privacy
Some properties may utilize exterior security devices, such as entry cameras or smart lock systems, for property protection and access management. Any such devices will be disclosed in the property listing. No cameras or recording devices are installed inside guest living areas. Our handling of personal information is governed by our Privacy Policy.
Liability
Guests are responsible for their own conduct and the conduct of all occupants and visitors associated with their reservation. Legacy Stays is not responsible for loss or damage to personal belongings during a stay. Guests assume the normal risks associated with use of the property and its amenities, including stairs, decks, outdoor grills, and similar features.
To the extent permitted by law, Legacy Stays’ liability arising from a reservation or stay will not exceed the amount paid for the reservation. This limitation does not apply where liability cannot legally be limited.
Payment Questions & Disputes
If you have questions about charges associated with your reservation, please contact us directly. We ask that guests attempt to resolve billing concerns with Legacy Stays before initiating a payment dispute with their financial institution.
Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina. Any disputes relating to these Terms that cannot be resolved informally may be brought in the appropriate state or federal courts located in Guilford County, North Carolina, unless otherwise required by applicable law or a booking platform.
Changes to These Terms
Legacy Stays may update these Terms from time to time. The version in effect at the time a reservation is made will govern that reservation. The most current version will always be available on our website.
